IC Investments Sp. z o.o. (“IC Investments”, “we” or “our”) cares about your privacy and the security of your information. This Privacy Policy describes our practices in conjunction with your access to our services, including our websites, email newsletters, social media pages and any related applications owned and operated by us, as well as our offline contacts.
When you use the IC Investments Services — by submitting a venture, requesting investor access, subscribing to updates, contacting us, browsing our site, or otherwise interacting with the Services — we gather personal information. Personal information is information that identifies you as an individual or relates to an identifiable individual.
Several different types of personal information may be gathered when you interact with the Services, depending on the type of interaction. Collection of personal information is necessary to deliver the Services to you or to enhance your experience.
If you disclose personal information relating to other people to us or to our service providers in connection with the Services, you represent that you have the authority to do so and to permit us to use the information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
We and our service providers collect personal information through, among other channels: (A) the contact form; (B) the venture submission form; (C) the investor access request form.
We collect, use or otherwise process personal information as allowed under applicable law, including where based on one or more of the following: the consent you provide to us at the point of collection; the performance of a contract we have with you; the compliance of a legal obligation to which we are subject; or the legitimate interests of IC Investments, a third party, or yourself.
“Legitimate interest” is a technical term under the regulation. It means that there are good reasons for the processing of your personal information and measures are taken to minimise the impact on your privacy rights and interests.
(A) Sharing within IC Investments. We share personal information within our company for the purposes listed in this Privacy Policy.
(B) Sharing with service providers. We contract with other companies, agents or contractors (“service providers”) to provide services on our behalf — for example, information technology and related infrastructure provision, email distribution, list processing and analytics.
(C) Sharing with other third parties. We will not sell, rent, swap or authorise any third party (except our service providers) to use your email address without your permission.
(D) Compliance with legal process. We may access, preserve and disclose personal information if we are required to do so by law.
We use various internet technologies to manage and track use of the Services. Information collected using these technologies is combined with personal information about you; the combined information is treated as personal information.
(A) Device information. We collect information about the device you use to access the Services, such as IP address, geolocation information, unique device identifiers and browser type.
(B) Cookies and similar technologies. We use cookies, web beacons, tags and scripts, and other similar technologies to manage access to and use of the Services and understand how people use them.
(C) Analytics and log files. As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files, including IP address, browser type, operating system and other usage information.
If you would like to review, correct, restrict or delete personal information you have previously provided to us, object to processing, or receive an electronic copy of your personal information, you may contact us through the contact form on this website.
For your protection, we only implement requests with respect to the personal information associated with the particular email address you use to send us your request, and we may need to verify your identity before implementing your request.
You may lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Poland the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Urząd Ochrony Danych Osobowych, uodo.gov.pl).
Unless specifically requested, we ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive personal information (e.g. government identifiers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion, health, biometrics, criminal background or trade union membership) on or through the Services.
We retain personal information for as long as needed or permitted in light of the purpose for which it was obtained and consistent with applicable law. The criteria used to determine our retention periods include: the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you; whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject; or whether retention is advisable in light of our legal position.
We protect personal information with reasonable organisational, technological and physical safeguards commensurate to its sensitivity. Although we take appropriate measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We do not knowingly collect or store personal information from children except as permitted by applicable law.
IC Investments Sp. z o.o. is headquartered in Poland. Information collected may be transferred to Poland or to another country in which we have facilities, affiliates operate, or in which we engage service providers.
For transfers from the European Economic Area to countries not considered adequate by the European Commission, we have put in place appropriate safeguards, including EU Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your personal data.
We evaluate this Privacy Policy periodically in light of changing business practices, technology and legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page. If we make a significant or material change in the way we use or share your personal information, you will be notified prominently.
